The first generation Mercedes-Benz SLK was a roadster as a roadster should be compact, not too heavy, a powerful engine up front, with all horses going to the back.

The engine was mated to a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automatic. The top functions perfectly, the windows work smoothly, and all other accessories function as originally intended. The heater works perfectly and blows hot. The A/C works wonderfully and blows cold.
These I-6 engines are incredibly reliable and are known to go forever with minimal repair/maintenance. To be sure of this, I had my mechanic go over the car thoroughly when we corrected the misfire and he did not find any necessary repairs or outstanding service items needed. Accordingly, this SLK drives/performs perfectly and has no discernible needs, no leaks, no fault codes, no check engine or other lights and no other outstanding/evident issues whatsoever.
